Her entire family attended the funeral services in honor of Queen Elizabeth. Her great-grandchildren and granddaughters also gathered at St. George's Chapel in Windsor. Isla Phillips, the daughter of Peter Phillips, apparently honored her great-grandmother with a very special piece of jewelry.

It was a difficult day for the British royal family: on September 19, 2022 they had to say goodbye to Queen Elizabeth, † 96. A number of her great-grandchildren were also present at the funeral service at St George's Chapel in Windsor. Dressed in black mourning clothes, Savannah, 11, and Isla Phillips, 10, among others, walked to their places in the chapel. The latter honored her great-grandmother with a brooch of very special significance.

A plastron pin sparkled on the ten-year-old's dress, a piece of jewelry that dressage riders like to attach to their blouse ties. With this piece of jewelery she not only honored the great passion of the queen, horseback riding, it is even said to be a gift from the queen to her great-granddaughter. At least that's what resourceful Royal fans suspect, according to the "Daily Mail".

They had also previously discovered that Princess Charlotte's, 7, horseshoe brooch looked very similar to a brooch owned by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, †101, in the 1920s. It is believed that she herself received it as a gift from her mother-in-law, Queen Mary. So it's quite possible that Queen Elizabeth has gifted both her great-granddaughters with pretty heirlooms.

Did Queen Elizabeth give gifts to all her great-grandchildren?

"I wonder if Queen Elizabeth gave all her great granddaughters brooches (like we saw Princess Charlotte do)" one person tweeted. Another commented, "I really hope you're right. What a lovely piece they would have gotten from her if that's the case." Another Twitter user wrote: "I'm sure Her Majesty thought of all her great grandchildren and they all received something special. A gift to remember her forever."

Isla's aunt Zara Tindall, 41, and her grandmother Princess Anne, 72, were also frequently spotted wearing similar pins on their riding gear.
